Senior DevOps Engineer – €50.000

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the Go-Live activities including the execution of deployment plans and checklists. You will generate server and application health reports and share findings with the development team. In addition, you will create and manage data dump and server setups for various environments and build and manage release documentation and technical release notes. You will be expected to manage housekeeping, upgrades, installation, backup/restore, and adherence to DR plans in order to ensure smooth functioning of existing systems.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate Go-Live activities, including executing deployment plans and checklists
• Generate server and application health reports and share findings with the development team
• Create and manage data dump and server setups for various environments
• Build and manage release documentation and technical release notes
• Manage housekeeping, upgrades, installation, backup/restore, and adherence to DR plans for smooth functioning of existing systems
• Identify, propose, optimize, configure, implement, and maintain various automation tools for continuous process improvements
• Configure and maintain server environments for development, testing, and production
• Create disaster recovery plans for application and data
• Implement automated application and server monitoring tools
• Configure and maintain the CI/CD infrastructure and tools
• Implement test automation to validate the builds in the CI/CD pipeline
• Implement tools for database versioning, source control, and continuous performance monitoring

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role
• Hands-on experience in AWS
• Complete understanding of CICD, added advantage on Jenkins, Argo CD, and Groovy
• Hands-on experience in Linux, SFTP
• Knowledge of AWS and Linux networking concepts
• Hands-on experience in Docker, Kubernetes or equivalent
• Hands-on experience in deployment and configuration of applications such as Apache, Node, and Java
• Understanding of database versioning, source control, and continuous performance monitoring tools
• Hands-on experience in source code management tools such as Git, Github, SVN, etc.
• Strong coordination skills in deployment of distributed enterprise applications
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• Good time-management skills
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
