We are looking for a WordPress Engineer with a good attitude, friendly and committed. With good communication skills. Open to critics and self improve. Team player with some product vision to look beyond the code and care for the business.

What will you do?

• Develop and improve the company’s websites based on specifications and WordPress best practices, whilst maintaining website security and compliance.
• Be responsible for both back-end and front-end development with minimal oversight.
• Build fully functional WordPress websites according to the company requirements and corporate branding.
• Work with other departments and upper management to develop and maintain website layout, structure, content, appearance and performance.
• Keep abreast of the latest technologies and techniques related to web development.
• Learn about our industry, understand and meet the expectations of clients.
• Develop, test, document, and maintain processes and procedures related to web development.
• Provide technical support.
• Designing and building the website front-end.
• Collaborate on the website architecture.
• Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration.
• Develop responsive, standards-compliant HTML and CSS3 themes and plugins for WordPress
• Conducting website performance tests to guarantee a high SEO benchmark score.
• Troubleshooting issues.
• Solve bugs and address issues in a fast-paced environment. Upgrade and refactor legacy code if required.
• Conducting WordPress training for your teammates.
• Monitoring the performance of the live website

Who are you?

• 5 years+ of WordPress development professional experience, in an agency or production environment.
• Able to work with a deeply customised WP setup, not always following the industry’s best practices.
• Experience in plugin development.
• Experience in Advanced Custom Fields for building complex content management on WordPress
• Experience in WPML plugins for multi-language website development.
• Performance-driven mentality when developing.
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals
• Strong understanding of SEO and its implications in website development.
• Knowledge of the HTTP protocol and its implications in website development.
• Knowledge of software testing.
• Experience in using and developing CMS tools.
• Strong PHP with PSRs (PHP Standards recommendations) and best practices.
• Strong OOP (Object Oriented Programming)
• Strong SQL / MySQL knowledge.
• Frontend experience with HTML markup, JavaScript, style sheets, CSS/CSS3 and responsive design.
• Must be a problem solver and able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented, remote environment.
• Must be a good attitude and friendly person. Team player, collaborative. Committed and owner of his responsibilities.
