Platform Engineer (DevOps) – €60.000

The role is with one of the best-established companies in Malta. They have offices in Malta, Barcelona, the UK, Denmark, Poland, and Serbia. In total, they are around 300 people around the world. You will be responsible for building scalable and highly-available cloud infrastructure to support the platform.

Responsibilities:

• Driving automation of application deployment for production and pre-release environments.
• Implementing and researching various technologies to improve the platform’s efficiency, performance, and availability.
• Ensuring availability, scalability, and resilience of the platform services.
• Defining requirements and implementing automated incident resolution solutions.
• Simplifying and reinventing systems, processes, and tools to make things better for the engineers.

Requirements:

• Extensive cloud experience is required.
• Experience with configuration and change management, monitoring, and trending.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash or Go.
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging stacks, such as Prometheus and ELK.
• Knowledge of production K8s workloads on GCP/AWS and have a solid knowledge of Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
• Understanding of automation practices throughout the development, build, and deployment phases of the application life-cycle.
• Experience with cloud services (Amazon EC2/S3, OpenStack) elastic capacity administration and cloud deployment and administration tools a plus
