We are looking for an experienced Senior .NET Developer to join a growing technology team in Malta. You will work on modern, scalable applications and contribute to new development while also helping improve existing services and platforms.

This is a hands-on development role with the opportunity to contribute to technical decisions, architecture and engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain applications and backend services using .NET / .NET Core.
  • Build scalable REST APIs and integrations with internal and external systems.
  • Work with microservices and asynchronous architectures.
  • Participate in technical design, architecture discussions and code reviews.
  • Improve application performance, reliability and scalability.
  • Work with relational databases and optimise queries and data access.
  • Collaborate with developers and other technical stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Contribute to engineering standards and development best practices.
  • Support other developers through technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
  • Work on both new development and improvements to existing applications.

Requirements

  • Around 4+ years of commercial experience with .NET / .NET Core.
  • Good experience developing backend applications and REST APIs.
  • Good understanding of relational databases, SQL and database performance.
  • Experience with microservices or distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with asynchronous communication, messaging or message brokers.
  • Good understanding of object-oriented programming and software development principles.
  • Experience with technical design, code reviews and modern development practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good level of English.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
  • Full-stack development experience.
  • Experience with modern frontend frameworks.
  • Previous experience mentoring developers or taking ownership of technical initiatives.
