We are looking for an experienced Senior .NET Developer to join a growing technology team in Malta. You will work on modern, scalable applications and contribute to new development while also helping improve existing services and platforms.
This is a hands-on development role with the opportunity to contribute to technical decisions, architecture and engineering best practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain applications and backend services using .NET / .NET Core.
- Build scalable REST APIs and integrations with internal and external systems.
- Work with microservices and asynchronous architectures.
- Participate in technical design, architecture discussions and code reviews.
- Improve application performance, reliability and scalability.
- Work with relational databases and optimise queries and data access.
- Collaborate with developers and other technical stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
- Contribute to engineering standards and development best practices.
- Support other developers through technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
- Work on both new development and improvements to existing applications.
Requirements
- Around 4+ years of commercial experience with .NET / .NET Core.
- Good experience developing backend applications and REST APIs.
- Good understanding of relational databases, SQL and database performance.
- Experience with microservices or distributed systems.
- Familiarity with asynchronous communication, messaging or message brokers.
- Good understanding of object-oriented programming and software development principles.
- Experience with technical design, code reviews and modern development practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good level of English.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
- Full-stack development experience.
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks.
- Previous experience mentoring developers or taking ownership of technical initiatives.
