Software Development Manager

You will be responsible for

  • Leading a team of developers: Manage and guide a team of PHP developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and high performance.
  • Driving technical strategy: Shape the technical direction of the development team, ensuring high standards for code quality, scalability, and security.
  • Project management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope.
  • Hands-on development: While leading the team, stay involved with hands-on coding when necessary, particularly for critical tasks or architecture design.
  • Continuous improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders: Work closely with other departments such as product management, design, and QA to ensure alignment on goals and expectations.
  • Mentorship and growth: Coach and mentor developers, providing guidance for career development, improving technical skills, and fostering a culture of innovation.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in PHP development with a strong portfolio of web-based projects, preferably in the iGaming industry.
  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role within a software development team.
  • Strong knowledge of PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, etc.) and modern development practices.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools.
  • Proven ability to manage and scale a development team, setting clear goals and expectations while maintaining high morale.
  • Strong understanding of iGaming platforms, payment integrations, and gaming technologies is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with version control systems (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
