We’re working with a growing product-focused company looking for a Backend Developer to join their platform team, building scalable systems used across multiple markets.
This role is focused on backend development, system performance, and building reliable APIs in a modern cloud environment.
What you’ll do
- Build and maintain backend services using C# and .NET
- Develop and optimise REST APIs
- Work on scalable, high-performance systems
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams on new features
- Improve system reliability, performance, and code quality
- Contribute to architecture and technical decisions
Tech stack / environment
- C#, .NET, ASP.NET
- SQL (Microsoft SQL preferred)
- REST APIs
- Git, Jira / Azure DevOps
- Cloud (Azure preferred)
- Exposure to containers (Kubernetes / AKS)
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years of experience with C# / .NET
- Strong experience with SQL and API development
- Good understanding of multithreading and async programming
- Familiarity with design patterns and clean code practices
- Experience working in agile teams
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience with NHibernate
- Automated testing (unit or integration)
- Messaging systems or event-driven architecture
- Experience with NoSQL (MongoDB, Elasticsearch, etc.)
- Exposure to CI/CD and modern engineering practices
