We’re working with a company looking to hire a TechOps Engineer to support and improve critical systems, with a focus on reliability, automation, and day-to-day operations.
This role sits between operations and engineering — ideal for someone who enjoys solving production issues while also improving systems and reducing manual work.
What you’ll do
- Maintain and improve the reliability and performance of core systems
- Troubleshoot production issues and support internal technical teams
- Improve monitoring, alerting, and overall system visibility
- Automate operational processes using scripting and tools
- Contribute to system improvements and ongoing projects
- Manage incidents and help prevent recurring issues
- Support disaster recovery planning and testing
- Take part in an on-call rotation
Tech stack / environment
- Linux
- Python, Bash, SQL / PL/SQL
- Docker, Ansible
- Monitoring: Grafana, Nagios, Graylog
- Tools: GitLab, JIRA
- Databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL
- Exposure to microservices and distributed systems
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years in TechOps, DevOps, or Systems Engineering
- Strong Linux and production troubleshooting experience
- Scripting skills (Python or Bash)
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and incident handling
- Understanding of databases and system performance
- Able to work independently and collaborate across teams
Nice to have
- Experience in high-availability environments
- Exposure to microservices or distributed systems
- Familiarity with Agile environments
