We’re working with a payments-focused company looking to hire a DevOps Lead to take ownership of their Azure platform, with a strong focus on reliability, security, and governance.
This role combines hands-on engineering with leadership, helping drive DevOps maturity and secure cloud practices across the business.
What you’ll do
- Own the reliability, performance, and security of the Azure environment
- Manage and improve Azure services including App Services, networking, and AKS
- Drive DevOps best practices and CI/CD adoption across teams
- Implement security standards (e.g. Zero Trust, vulnerability management)
- Improve monitoring, incident response, and platform resilience
- Ensure cloud governance and compliance with security standards
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure and deployment processes
- Take part in on-call rotation for platform support
Tech stack / environment
- Microsoft Azure (App Services, AKS, networking)
- Kubernetes (production environments)
- CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
- Containerised environments
- Monitoring and incident management tools
What we’re looking for
- Strong experience with Azure in production environments
- Hands-on Kubernetes experience
- Solid understanding of DevOps practices and cloud security principles
- Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure automation
- Background in platform reliability, monitoring, and incident management
- Ability to lead technical initiatives and work cross-functionally
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience in fintech / payments environments
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory standards
